Baking cupcakes

So since we made Koleton his BIG cake for his pictures yesterday and he didn't get into it in true "smash cake" style, we decided to make some cupcakes and turn one into a smash cake for him on his actual birthday :)  Of course Koleton "wanted" to help ;) and try the batter! This was TOO cute not to share!

He had so much fun :) And still went to bed on time :D lol Sometimes I wonder how we got so lucky to have such an amazing son!!! And tomorrow he will no longer be a "baby" but ventures into toddler-hood! Such a big boy now!

    He's so cute!!! What fun to get to "help" make the cupcakes!

    When Joel was little, I made cupcakes baked in ice cream cones. They were great for birthday parties, because the little ones didn't eat the cupcake papers. Cute!

    I found a link so you could see what I'm talking about... this one suggested using a paper/cardboard egg carton to cook the cones in... I never had that suggestion. I had to just try to stand them up and not knock them all over as I put them into the oven! haha!
