Mommy's Night Out!

Last night my mommy group had a Bunco night at one of the girls' house.  I wasn't sure if I would be able to go or not, since Koleton will only let me put him to sleep. Or is only used to me doing it rather.  Brad said they would be fine and I should go, so I did.  I "snuck" out while Koleton was in his crib supposed to be taking a nap, though he wasn't having it lol Went to my friend Amanda's house and we carpooled out to Bunco! (Good thing too, cause I never would have found it! lol) I had never played before but it was a good time! And the way it is played you pretty much play with everyone who is there, so there was lots of socializing and meeting new people. :) Brad sent me a picture of him and Koleton after Kole's bath and said all was good at home...it was so sweet! Then I get a message the Koleton was down, Brad had done it! Hooray! So I stopped worrying about it.  A bit later just to check I text to see how things were going. Well apparently Mr. Koleton had woken up and was refusing to go back down.  Of course I started to worry and think I should be there to put him to sleep, but then I thought nothing bad is going to happen to him.  Brad will take care of him. Koleton and I have had our sleep battles too and they need to work theirs out! lol So I stopped worrying and had a good time.  After Bunco, we stayed around and chatted for a while.  I met some good people and had a good time.  I ended up chatting with Amanda at her house for a while! Before I knew it it was 12:45AM! I hadn't heard from Brad so I figured they were asleep. When I got home, they were sleeping in the recliner, Koleton on Brad's chest. I guess he gave up on putting him in his bed (which I had done many times myself!) They both woke up when I came in so I got to see my 2 men :) Overall it was a GREAT night!  I fed Koleton a bottle and put him to bed and then went to bed myself. 

I think it was a great thing for me to get out and have some "me" time! And it was good for Daddy and son to have some "them" time and bond some more.  Koleton LOVES his daddy though! Hopefully I will get to go out to these Mommy Night Out's every  month. Hopefully Brad will get the hang of putting Koleton to bed so it will much less stressful for everyone. Next step - getting Koleton used to someone else period so Brad and I can go out on dates again! Eventually it will all fall into place :)
