"I'm gonna get you!"

This is Koleton's new favorite game :) He will look at me, and turn real quick and head in the other direction at "top speed" haha I'll crawl behind him saying "I'm gonna get you!" and he just laughs and goes faster lol Last night he had a messy diaper really close to bathtime. He is notorious for wetting a dry diaper as soon as it's strapped on, so I just left him naked for the 10-15 minutes before his bath. Well, as I rounded the corner from the dining room, I saw him sitting on the tile in the kitchen and he looked up at me, turned, and started "running" lol Nothing like chasing a little naked baby to brighten your day :) It was so cute! Sometimes he "runs" too fast and trips up on himself, which is what happened last night lol He got tripped up and fell so he just laid there on the tile waiting for me to "get" him :) That boy is so funny!

He is in his mimicking phase, which is so darn cute! First it was him copying my cough... now he will just start laughing, a fake laugh, then I laugh back and we go back and forth til we are both really laughing :) He still tries to do the cough every now and then, but since I am no longer coughing (thank goodness!!) it isn't near as often lol

OH yeah! Sunday was Koleton's first Easter! It was a pretty nice day overall :) We just hung out at home with him, gave him his Easter basket, and then went to Brad's parent's house for dinner.  We know he is too young to know about the Easter bunny or care about having a basket but really it's just another memory and another excuse to buy him stuff ;) We got him a couple books, a new DVD, some yogurt bites that he LOVES, a new outfit (that was SUPER cute on him btw) and a little puppy that has bunny ears :) Nothing too big or fancy but he loves just about everything in there! (The DVD was kinda a flop lol maybe when he gets older ;) ) Dinner was yummy too... Of course we fed Koleton his baby food before we left (I try to make him eat the baby food to make sure he is getting his proper nutrition before he eats the "real" food) but that didn't stop him from enjoying sausage, potatoes and asparagus... and then a brownie, ice cream and strawberries for dessert! Like I've said so many times before... my kid can eat! haha At least he does like vegetables! He was chowing down on that asparagus! lol Here's some pictures from that day :)
Here he his just hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's
 Playing with his Grandpa
Sitting with Grandma, eating a bell pepper

It was so funny watching him with the air vents! He was amazed at them and had this look on his face like "Where is this air coming from?!" lol So darn cute!

Wow is my little man growing so fast! Soon he'll be walking, then running, then talking... I know I've said it before and I'm sure every mom says it NUMEROUS times as her children grow... Where does the time go?!

Eggtastic Bash

So last Saturday, my mommy group had an Easter celebration at a park out here :) It was a good time! They had pizza, cake, prizes and an egg hunt for the kiddos. Now, of course Koleton is far too  young to really be interested in an Easter egg hunt, and he really doesn't know what is going on. I thought maybe though, he'd see the bright colored eggs and at least be curious about them! Not in the slightest! I'd set him down next to an egg and he'd look at it and look at me like "and????" lol We picked him up a few cause gosh darn it, he was going to  get some Easter eggs! Once we opened them, however, and showed him there was something inside he was all about those eggs! Here's some pictures from that day :)
He loves when his daddy does this lol

I know there's something in here!

Cars!

Well apparently my boy LOVES cars :) Give him a car and he will start racing it around the ground saying "vrooooom vrooooom" (in baby speak of course!) It is the cutest thing! I think we may have found the "theme" for his first birthday :) Here's a video of him playing with his car at the library, and then he takes off on an escape mission!

Koleton also has become quite the little funny man! I previously posted how we all had gotten sick and thankfully, for the most part, we are all better now! However... I had this terrible cough and it's still lingering a little. Well, Koleton also has a "cough" lol He fake coughs right along with me and laughs about it! I tell him "It's not funny I have a cough! Why are you laughing?!" in a joking voice of course, and he thinks its hilarious! We'll be riding around in the car and he'll be in the back "coughing" and laughing haha He's such a goober :P

So, we all know Koleton is a BIG eater! He loves his food! He would rather feed himself his "big boy" food than have me feed him.  Dinner is almost impossible unless he has some finger foods he can eat. I'm very grateful he isn't a picky eater! I wanted him to love (ok at least like) vegetables and he does! We ordered our first Bountiful Basket (which was amazing btw!) and it had little baby cucumbers in it.... I sliced them up for Koleton and I and he ate a whole slice by himself! I was even worried a little because that last little bit was in his mouth and it was of a choking size... so I tried to fish it out, but he wasn't having it! My finger would touch his lips and they would lock and his head would turn! He would not give it up! lol

He also has been "sharing" his food lately which is absolutely adorable :D He'll take a bite of his cheeto (yes, he takes bites of them now unless he is shoveling them into his mouth lol) and then give me a "bite" :) He loves it! He smiles when I take my "bite" and then shoves the rest of it in his mouth haha He is so funny! I can't imagine loving him any more!

Crawling, Standing and "No"... Oh Joy!

That's right. Koleton is officially a crawler! He's been going strong for a little over a week now :) He is so funny cause he'll be moving right along and I'll come in the room and he tries to get away super fast - so fast in fact that he trips all over himself! haha It's kind of like I'm chasing him and he has to get away lol It is so cute.  He also decided that he prefers standing to sitting.  He pulls himself up on everything now... including his crib. Here's the "Oh joy" part! It used to be that I'd rock him to sleep but sometimes he wouldn't have it, so I'd go lay him in his bed and he would put himself to sleep. Those days seem to be long gone.  Now he almost refuses for me to rock him to sleep and then the second I put him in his bed, he pulls himself up and just stands there either talking or crying. Joy. He does seem to be getting a little better lately about this though :) It may have something to do with us fixing his DVD player and Bolt being on the tv again... haha! I asked Brad to go check on him before he leaves for work to make sure he is covered with his blanket because his room gets so cold he is just a frozen popsicle when he wakes up in the mornings. Well Brad went in this morning to do so and there was Koleton, standing in his crib just watching Bolt! Neither of us heard him, he was just doing his own thing. Mr. Independant now!

Yesterday, a few minutes before Brad gets home from work, Koleton crawled himself over to the front door, which happened to be open. He stood himself up against the glass door and just waited for Brad to get home! It was the cutest, sweetest thing :D He got all excited to see his Daddy when he came walking up! It was just like he knew it was time for Daddy to get home, so he went to greet him :) So adorable!

Now that Koleton is on the move... he has been hearing a lot of "No"s haha We have the cat's water and food in the bathroom now to keep them away from the puppy. Well, Koleton thinks those are the greatest toys EVER! Of course we watch him so he doesn't accidentally drown in the water dish... but if we are going to the bathroom and Koleton is in there with us it's "No, Koleton!" and he looks at you and gets this mischievous grin and tries to go for it again lol About the third time he stops and looks at you like "what? I wasn't going for that again... I was, uh, doing this instead!" lol He definitely understands "No" now :) Still is learning his limits, however!

I swear this kid is just growing too fast! I was going through my videos of him because I switched PC's and seeing him when he was first born... so tiny and helpless and dependent and CUTE! Now, though he is still CUTE, he is becoming more and more independent each day! And hitting milestone after milestone! With the way he loves standing, I bet it won't be long before he is walking :) Then we are all really in trouble! haha

Soooo big!

Man it has been a hectic couple of weeks! We had such a good time in AZ! I wish there was more time so we could have seen more people, but poor Koleton was done haha He was so tired of being tied down, not able to crawl around, going from car seat to his stroller and back to his car seat. We ended up staying an extra day and just hanging out at my mom's house for the most part so he could chill and not be stuck in his car seat in hopes that the drive home wouldn't be a miserable one! All in all he did great though :) He got a little fussy on the way back but nothing too bad.  Once we got home we had to unpack... which we had got Brad some more clothes which wouldn't fit in our dresser so I sent him off to buy us a bigger dresser! Well we have been needed to rearrange the rooms in the house and since the new dresser wouldn't fit in our current room that lead us to start switching the rooms around lol So funny how a couple extra pairs of shorts and pants can cause the whole house to be rearranged! haha

Everything finally got moved and things started to get put away then Walter (our new puppy) got sick from either the move or his new food then Koleton got sick and now I'm sick! One thing after another and the house is still a mess :( Hopefully we can all start feeling better so I can start getting things put away!

While we were in Arizona, Koleton learned "soooo big!" It was so cute! He was sitting in his high chair at my mom's house and he would just raise his arms up in the air and when you ask "How big is Koleton?" he would just laugh and kind of wave his arms around for the "soooo big" part :) He also learned how to wave! Of course, he is MY son and stubborn as all heck so he only waves when he wants to lol But if you can catch him in just the right mood his little hand starts waving back at you :)

He is so cute! And the little stinker CAN crawl! I saw him do it! We moved the cat's food and water into the bathroom so the dog doesn't get into it and I will set Koleton on the floor in the bathroom while I am using it. Well, he found the water dish haha I set him as far away from it as I can and he just goes from sitting to crawling position and his arms AND legs were moving to get him closer to the dish :) Of course he was also trying to stand up while crawling and I'm sure he won't just crawl around the house (I mean, it's so much easier to have mom or dad carry you around!) but the point is he CAN do it! lol He is also standing pretty well now holding onto something. And he has been pulling himself up from sitting to standing, on me of course lol He hasn't yet figured out how to stand up in his crib... but he doesn't really need to since he can see his tv from laying down haha He will just lay there and watch his movie completely content for 30 minutes or more before falling asleep or calling us to come get him when he wakes up :)

With everything that has been going on, I have neglected to take pictures like I should! Even while on vacation! I didn't get pictures of him with hardly anyone :( I just simply forgot! I need to get on it though cause he is changing every day! Tomorrow, if I am feeling better I am going to just follow him around with my camera ;) haha
